Engineered Wood Flooring

EngineeredFlooring

Engineered wood floors are a great alternative to traditional solid wood flooring. They are extremely durable, beautiful and green. Our engineered wood floors are built with alternating layers of wood that are adhered together using environmentally friendly adhesives. The inner core is a plywood type of material made from FSC certified wood and which incorporates the tongue and groove system. The top layer is a thick, hardwood layer that is adhered to the core and is available in almost any hardwood species. This construction method produces a product that is less likely to shrink or expand, and more resistant to moisture than typical hardwoods.

What makes engineered flooring so great?
- Uses less material to produce a beautiful floor meaning fewer trees are cut down
- Extremely durable, less likely to shrink or expand
- Can be sanded and refinished just like solid hardwood flooring
- Unlike traditional hardwood flooring, it can be installed below grade
- Available in a myriad of species, colors, plank widths making it a perfect choice to compliment any decor
